The first edition was in 2012 and since 2016 JNTE publishes in March, July and November. JNTE publishes research papers in the area of

- Telecommunication and Signal Processing: Antenna and wave propagation, network and systems, Modulation and signal processing, Radar and sonar, Radar imaging; Radio, multimedia content, Routing protocols, Wireless communications, Signal Processing, Image Processing, Voice Processing.
- Control automation and Robotic: Robotics, Automation, Pattern Recognition, Biosignal Engineering, Control Theory, Applied Control, System Design, Optimization, Process Control, Sensor.
JNTE is nationally accredited with GRADE 2 by Director General of Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Number: 200/M/KPT/2020). JNTE is indexed by: Sinta (S2), DOAJ, Google Scholar and Portal Garuda. The manuscript must be written in English.
