Jurnal Nasional Teknik Elektro (JNTE) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, following the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—must adhere to these ethical principles to ensure the integrity of scholarly publishing.

Editorial Responsibilities

Publication Decisions
The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial board, is responsible for deciding which submitted articles will be published in JNTE. The decision is based on the manuscript's significance, originality, clarity, and alignment with the journal’s scope. The editors ensure that all submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review and adhere to ethical publishing standards.

Fair Play
Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic merit, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political affiliation.

Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and editorial advisors.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author's explicit consent. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed, and editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where conflicts exist.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and helps authors improve their manuscripts. Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.

Confidentiality
All manuscripts received for review are confidential documents and should not be shared or discussed with others without prior authorization from the editorial board.

Objectivity Standards
Reviews should be objective and constructive, avoiding personal criticism. Reviewers should clearly express their views with supporting arguments.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from evaluating manuscripts where a conflict exists.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authorship and Contributorship
JNTE follows COPE's Authorship and Contributorship Guidelines, ensuring that:

  • All listed authors have substantially contributed to the research.
  • The corresponding author ensures that all co-authors approve the final version.
  • Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria are acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section.

Guest, ghost, or honorary authorship is strictly prohibited.

Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure their work is entirely original and properly cite all references. JNTE uses Turnitin for plagiarism screening, and any form of plagiarism—including self-plagiarism—is unacceptable.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously. Submitting a manuscript that has been previously published or under review elsewhere constitutes unethical publishing behavior.

Data Sharing and Reproducibility
Authors must provide sufficient details to allow the research to be replicated. If applicable, authors should deposit their data in public repositories and provide a Data Availability Statement.

Ethical Oversight
For studies involving human or animal subjects, authors must provide evidence of Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval and confirm compliance with international ethical standards such as the Declaration of Helsinki.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their research. Funding sources must be explicitly stated.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If an author discovers a significant error in their published work, they must promptly notify the editorial board to issue a correction or retraction.

Publisher’s Responsibilities

The publisher of JNTE ensures that:

  • The journal follows ethical publishing standards.
  • Misconduct allegations are investigated following COPE’s retraction and correction guidelines.

  • Investigation of complaints against authors, reviewers, or editors.
  • Retraction, correction, or withdrawal of articles that violate publication ethics.
